2026 FRC6998 New Student Recruitment Registration Form & Parent Information Session Notice

I. Introduction

In alignment with the school’s AI Dual-Track Program, which promotes STEM education and connects students with international opportunities, our FRC Robotics Team will fully participate in the FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) World Championship, one of the most challenging international robotics competitions for high school students.

Starting in the new academic year, the team will offer professional training courses for new members. Students who are interested are welcome to apply for the FRC6998 training program. During the training period, students’ learning performance and overall participation will be evaluated. The final selection of official FRC6998 team members will be announced in early December.

II. Purpose

FRC6998 aims to develop students’ skills and expertise in large-scale robot design, construction, and competition, including:

• Mechanical design
• Metalworking
• Control systems and programming
• Introduction to video production
• Vector graphics software
• Public relations and event planning
• Competition strategy and analysis

We welcome students who are interested in scientific research, metalworking, programming, artistic creation, public relations and fundraising, financial management, marketing and event planning, leadership, media and communications, and bilingual public speaking.

Through hands-on projects and practical training, students will experience the joy of learning while developing their problem-solving skills.

III. Participants for the Parent Information Session

1. New G10 students in the High School Department, as well as IBST G9–G11 students and their parents.
2. New G10 students and their parents from partner schools that have signed a professional development partnership agreement with our FRC6998 team.

IV. FRC6998 Parent Information Session

All new students who apply to join FRC6998 must attend the Parent Information Session together with a parent or family member.

Information Session Details:

1. Registration: From now until August 22, 2026 (Saturday), 11:59 PM
2. Date & Time: August 23, 2026 (Sunday), 1:00–4:00 PM
3. Location: Far-Sighted International Conference Hall, High School Department
4. Registration Method: Online registration only

5. If a student’s legal guardian is unable to attend due to work commitments, they must arrange for another family member living in the same household to attend on their behalf and learn about the responsibilities and commitments required of FRC6998 team members.

V. FRC Holiday Professional Training Courses

1. All new students who wish to join FRC6998 must participate in the FRC Holiday Professional Training Courses.
2. Course Dates: September 19, September 20, October 3, October 4, October 31, November 1, December 5, and December 6
   Time: 9:00 AM–4:00 PM each day
   (Course dates may be adjusted due to instructor availability.)
3. Course Fee: Approximately NT$4,825.
   If a student wishes to withdraw from the competition training program during the course, the parent/guardian must submit a written request stating the reason. If the student has completed less than one-third of the training program, the fee will be refunded proportionally based on the amount of instruction received. If the student has completed one-third or more of the training program, no refund will be provided.
   (Approved at the meeting regarding school-collected fees and administrative arrangements for the first semester of the 2026 academic year.)

VI. Submission of Registration Form

After completing the online registration, please print out the registration form and have a parent/guardian sign the consent section at the bottom of the form.

The completed and signed form must be submitted at the entrance of the Parent Information Session on August 23.
