International Bilingual School at Tainan-Science-Park

Objectives:

1. Introduce freshmen to the world of the FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) and help them explore their areas of interest.

2. Provide hands-on experiences to discover the joy of scientific inquiry and enhance problem-solving skills.

3. Build a solid foundation in mechanical assembly and programming through practical operations, ensuring students become familiar with competition-related knowledge and skills.

4. Prepare for the upcoming FRC 6998 team recruitment in September to scout new talent for the 2027 FRC World Championship.

Target Audience: Incoming 10th graders from the Senior High Department and students in Grade 9 and above from the Bilingual Department. We welcome students who possess expertise or a strong interest in programming, mechanical design, business management, art design, marketing & public relations, multimedia branding, and team operations.

Registration Information:

1. Deadline: From now until Sunday, July 19, 2026, at 11:00 PM. The admission list will be announced on the FRC 6998 Facebook Group before 12:00 PM on Monday, July 20, 2026.

2. Method: Online registration only.

3. Capacity: 8 students per team, with a total of 3 teams (24 participants maximum) and 6 on the waiting list. If registration exceeds capacity, participants will be selected by lottery. Admitted students who cannot attend must call the Academic Affairs Office (Ext. 8011) to forfeit their spot by 5:00 PM on the day the list is announced. Waitlisted students will be notified individually via phone.

4. Fee: Free of charge (includes lunch and event materials).
