Event: Southern Taiwan University Fair at Kaohsiung American School

Dear Parents and Guardians,

IBST students in Grades 10-12 are invited to attend the Southern Taiwan University Fair at Kaohsiung American School on September 9, 2024. Students will be accompanied on the trip by IBST Director Ms. Eva Yang, Guidance Teacher Mr. Soso Lin, and College Counselor Mr. Sergio Gautreaux. We will take the local train at 15:15 from Nanke Station and arrive at Zuoying Station at 16:22.

The fair will take place from 16:30-18:30. Students will return by train at the conclusion of the event, departing Zuoying Station at 18:37 and arriving at Nanke Station at 19:58. Alternatively, parents may permit students to disembark at Tainan Station (arrival time: 19:30), or they may leave together with family members who are attending the event.

All students are required to be on their best behavior. They are also asked to bring water and snacks, an EasyCard/iPass Card, and their school ID for traveling to the fair. Due to the limited time available, it is suggested that students choose a few schools from the list and visit those booths. We will take time in Guidance class to prepare questions for specific universities.

Prior to attending, students must return the consent form to Mr. Gautreaux by 12:00 PM on Monday, September 2, so teachers and administration can take appropriate measures.
